Privacy Policy

1. Privacy Principles

SnipCam is designed so that photo capture, subject extraction, background removal, image editing, and image export are completed on the user's device as much as possible.

No SnipCam-specific user account is required. Mintier Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") does not require users to register their name, address, telephone number, email address, or other similar identifying information to use the app.

Photos captured or processed by SnipCam are not uploaded to our servers for background removal or other image-processing purposes.

2. Photos and Images

SnipCam processes photos captured with the device camera for purposes including subject extraction, background removal, image editing, preview, and export.

These image-processing operations are performed on the user's device in principle. We do not collect or store original photos captured with SnipCam or edited images generated by SnipCam on our servers.

If a user saves an image, it is stored on the user's device or at another destination selected by the user. If a user uses the share function, the image is passed through Android's sharing functionality to the app or service selected by the user. After sharing, the handling of that image is governed by the terms and privacy policy of the selected third-party service.

3. Settings Stored on the Device

SnipCam may store information on the user's device as necessary to provide its functions, including:

• App settings such as export format
• Image-output settings such as JPEG quality
• Free-export usage status
• Status required to display SnipCam Pro entitlement
• Other settings necessary for the app to operate

This is local application data used to provide SnipCam functionality and is not maintained by us as a user-membership database.

4. Google Analytics

We may use Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC, to understand the use of the Services, improve quality, and analyze defects and other technical issues.

Google Analytics is used on the Website. Google Analytics may also be used in the App depending on the version of the App or the functions provided.

Where Google Analytics is used, information such as the following may be sent to or processed by Google depending on the method of implementation and configuration:

• Usage of the Website or the App
• Information relating to pages viewed, screens used, or features used
• Technical information relating to the browser, the App, operating system, and device
• Approximate regional information
• Identifiers used to distinguish users or sessions on the Website
• Information used to identify an instance of the App
• Other technical information collected by Google Analytics according to its specifications and configuration

The information collected by Google Analytics and the method of collection may differ between the Website and the App. Google Analytics is not necessarily used in every version of the App.

We do not use Google Analytics for the purpose of sending to Google Analytics the photos themselves that are captured or edited using SnipCam. We also do not intentionally send names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, or other information that directly identifies a user as Google Analytics events or similar data.

Information processed through Google Analytics is subject to Google's privacy policy and other terms established by Google.

5. Purchases Through Google Play

Purchases and subscription management for SnipCam Pro are handled through Google Play billing.

Payment methods, Google Account information, transaction information, and other information required by Google Play are handled by Google according to its own terms and privacy policy.

We do not directly collect or store complete payment-card information through SnipCam. The app may obtain purchase-status information from Google Play in order to determine whether SnipCam Pro is active.

6. Camera and Other Device Permissions

SnipCam uses Android camera permissions to provide photo-capture and related functionality. Where necessary for saving or sharing, the app uses Android-provided storage or sharing functionality.

These permissions are used to provide SnipCam features. Users can review or change permissions granted to SnipCam through Android settings. Some app functions may not be available if required permissions are not granted.

7. Information Stored by Mintier

Because SnipCam does not provide its own user account system, we do not maintain a SnipCam membership database. We also do not store photos captured or edited with SnipCam on our servers for background removal or other image-processing purposes.

Where Google Analytics is used, information processed by Google is handled according to Google's systems and the retention settings and other conditions that we configure in Google Analytics.

Purchase records in Google Play may be retained by Google for periods necessary to provide its services and comply with applicable law.

8. No Sale of User Information

We do not sell information relating to SnipCam users to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

However, information may be disclosed where required by law, pursuant to a lawful request from a court or other authorized public body, or where otherwise permitted by applicable law.

9. Minors

If a minor uses SnipCam, the minor should obtain consent from a parent or other legal representative where appropriate. In particular, purchases of SnipCam Pro must comply with Google Play requirements and applicable law.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the content or functions of the Services, third-party services we use, or applicable law. If a material change is made, we will provide notice through the App, on the Website, or by another method we consider appropriate.

12. Governing Law and Controlling Language

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Japan.

If this Privacy Policy is translated into any language other than Japanese, the Japanese version is the controlling version. If there is any inconsistency in meaning or interpretation between a translation and the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.
